The hot trend that we see right now is Website SEO Analysis. Look at this Google Insight graph since 2004. It is not good enough for most businesses to have a nice website as a brochure, as a online store or blog. Businesses want more targeted traffic and to improve their search engine results page (SERPs) position. Most experts agree that it is important to show up on page one of Google or other search engine pages for given search terms.
But many businesses struggle and are not satisfied with their search engine optimization or their SERPs. They may have even hired "SEO Experts" to help tweak their site to improve search results. But they are still not getting the results they desire. Why is this? There are a number of potential reasons. The only way to get to the bottom of this is with good website SEO analysis. A great deal of research and review must be performed before "action".
What is Good Website SEO Analysis?
There are many free SEO tools available on the Internet. We use many of them. Just go to Google and type "free seo tools". Some are very good, and others are tedious. Try running your website URL through dnfame.com or websitegrader.com. Both will give you interesting data, not exactly the same. And Website Grader will even give you some tips about what you should do. But are these good website SEO analysis tools? Not entirely. They do provide some valuable information and point out issues. But real analysis should come from a person who uses automated tools and good old fashioned "rolling up your sleeves" research.
Good Old Fashioned Research
Consists of:
- Discovering/Analyzing Your Marketplace
- Keyword Research Around Your Marketplace
- Competitive Research
This can only be performed by a firm or individual with experience in SEO keyword and competitive research. Someone who listens. And knows what to look for. Someone who know the difference between literal company competition and strength of keyword competition.
A Good Action Plan
After SEO data analysis and research, the next step to complete the process is a good action plan. If you have metrics, data and research, you need to be able to correlate that to actual changes and implementation. How else are you going to achieve your traffic and SERPs goals? And here's the deal. A robot or computer can not spit out an action plan that will be most effective. It still takes a skilled human that can look at everyting and make the plan. And humans will also do the work to help your each your goals.
