In Apple's Mail program it's a very easy to do, and will increase your marketing efforts and be another way to connected with friends and clients. Here is how to do it!
First you will need to find the icons of Social Media sites that you want to use in your signature. Do a search in google for "Social Media Icons" and you'll find tons of free Icons that you can download. Here is one source of 21 sets. Here is another source of 40 sets.
Once downloaded open up the folder containing the Icons and then open your Apple Mail preferences and select the Signature menu as shown below. Next click on the + button to add a new signature and add your contact information. Then simple drag an Icon from the finder window into your signature window.
The next thing you have to do is create the links. Click and highlight the Social Media Icon in your new Signature and then go to the Edit Menu and select "Add Link".
A dialogue box will appear and simply type in the URL that you want to link to the Icon.
For example, the Facebook Icon could be linked to a personal Facebook Profile or to https://facebook.com/sgoconsulting our s-go Consulting Facebook Fan page. Using this feature you could also add as many Social Media Icons with links as you would like to share.
Please also note that if you are not using Apple Mail and you are using Gmail, Google App's, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, AOL an more you could also add Social Icons to your Signature by use of a free browser extension/add-on called WiseStamp. It is very fleixble and easy to use. It will allow you to add Social Icons to your email signature using Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
The use of a Social Media Signature simply makes it easier for people you are communicating with to connect with you and to further your personal and business relationships and grow your network.
